Meet Umber
  Based on measurements taken from a female human skull and a female chimpanzee skull, this construct represents what a genetically engineered cross between a human and a chimpanzee might look like. It was created by Dr. Diane L. France, France Casting, Fort Collins, Colorado
The numbers on the skull represent skin depth in various locations. At this point, the project has been taken over by Betty Gatliff, the world's leading expert on facial reconstruction. Her company is called Skullpture, located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Umber's features are laid over the skull.
And painted to yield the final result. Meet Umber, heroine of DARK INHERITANCE.
