People Of The Earth Days Thermopolis, Wyoming, is known for many things: fishing in the Bighorn River, Wind River Canyon, hunting, and the petroglyphs of the Legend Rock Petroglyph Site. From June 27 to 29 it will also host People of the Earth Days, a celebration of the works of W. Michael Gear and Kathleen O’Neal Gear, authors of The New York Times bestselling First North American series. Among the activities scheduled for the three-day festival are a writers workshop, a tour of local petroglyphs, a bison ecology discussion with the Gears, a visit to the Wyoming Dinosaur Center, and a lecture by renowned skeletal biologist Gregory Wilson.
