Dear All:
We’re delighted to announce that A SEARING WIND the third book in the CONTACT: BATTLE FOR AMERICA series has been released! If you enjoyed COMING OF THE STORM and FIRE THE SKY, you’ll love the continuing adventures of Black Shell and Pearl Hand. Only this time they have to worry if Hernando de Soto, or Black Shell’s mother will kill him first. Talk about “family dysfunction.”
Collectors note: Due to the down-turn in publishing, there will be limited numbers of hardbacks printed. Simon & Schuster may not go back to press. We urge you to snatch yours up quickly.
If you can’t find a copy in your local bookstore, please use the links on the Gear-Gear.com homepage.

Has this book been released in Australia too? Or could you give me a release date if it hasn’t? Mum and I are anxiously awaiting the end of the story!
Many thanks,
Trina.

Thank you a thousand times. You two just blow me away. I am in awe of all the research you put into your books and then write a great story using the data. I have read most all of your books. I have been waiting for this one.
Your fan David Fischer.

Dear Trina: We’re not sure, but probably not given that the publisher is Simon & Schuster. You might email them with a query to their main office. The address should be listed under simon&schuster/Australia in Google. If you bought COMING OF THE STORM and FIRE THE SKY in Australia, then we would certainly expect A SEARING WIND to be imported as well. Let us know how this works out.

I just finished, Book Three of Contact: A Searing Wind. I bought as soon as it came out, and I have been slowly reading it. I think I could’ve followed Black Shell, Pearl Hand, and the dogs through a dozen more books seeking put de Soto. I absolutely loved these books. Since, first reading Book One: Coming of the Storm, I have been head over heels these characters. Thank you for adding something so rich to my imagination. I wish love and peace to you both! Again, thank you!

Jessica: Thank you so much for the kind words. We’d have loved to continue the series and proposed more books, but the publisher told us to wrap it up in three. We’ll give Black Shell and Pearl Hand your regards–and yes we have a direct line to both of them. Right at the source! The good news is that you can share time with them every time you open the cover.

I’m currently reading Fire The Sky, and my heart is sad after finding this post! I was already looking to find a searing wind and found this will be the last in the adventures of my new found friends! My grandmother has been a long time fan of the both of you, and passed the first of this series to me while recovering from surgery. I flew through the first book and went straight to the book store to find the second…. I’m now anxious to read the third! My grandmother has every series from y’all and I know I will enjoy them! Peace and blessings to you both :-)

Dear Trish: Thank you for the kind words. We couldn’t write without the support of people like you. As to Black Shell and Pearl Hand, they are as close as opening your books and turning to the first page. We’ll pass along your comments to Black Shell, Pearl Hand, and the dogs. It seems we’ve got a special line of communication with them! Be well!
